Martha Stewart is the founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Ms. Stewart shares the creative principles and practical ideas that have made her America's most trusted guide to stylish living through her award-winning magazine, Martha Stewart Living, her bestselling books, Emmy-award winning television show, website, syndicated newspaper column, national radio show, mail-order catalog, and product lines.

Ms. Stewart worked as a model to pay her college tuition and has been a successful stockbroker on Wall Street. In 1972 she developed a catering business that showcased her remarkable talent and originality. The elegant recipes she created for her events were the basis for her first book, Entertaining, published in 1982.

Ms. Stewart has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors and her shows have earned 14 Daytime Emmy Awards and a total of 60 Emmy nominations since its debut. In May 1998, Martha Stewart Living Television received the 1998, 2003, and 2005 James Beard Foundation Award for the Best National Cooking Segment. Ms Stewart holds a bachelor's degree in history and architectural history from Barnard College.
