Prof. Sawhney is a globally recognized thought leader, scholar and teacher in strategic marketing, e-business and innovation. His research and teaching interests include marketing and media in the connected world, marketing transformation, collaborative marketing with customers, IT and business agility, organic growth and business innovation.

Prof. Sawhney is the co-author of three books and has won several awards for his teaching and research, including the Accenture Award and the Outstanding Professor of the Year at Kellogg. He was recognized as one of the 25 most influential people in e-Business by BusinessWeek.

Prof. Sawhney advises Global 2000 firms and governments worldwide. He has served as an advisor to the Government of Oman, and is an advisor to the U.S. Jordan Business Alliance. He also serves on the boards and advisory boards of several technology startup companies. Prof. Sawhney holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; a Master's degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
