Marian Salzman is executive vice-president and chief marketing officer of advertising firm, J. Walter Thompson (JWT) and leads its global business development efforts. She is charged with raising the profile of JWT's brand, people, product, and service mix as well as spearheading the company's dissemination of consumer insights, trend reports, and other thought leadership pieces.

Prior to joining JWT in 2005, she held executive positions at Euro RSCG Worldwide, Young & Rubicam's Intelligence Factory, and TBWA International. She founded the online market research company Cyberdialogue in the early 1990s.

Ms. Salzman is known for her skill as a trendspotter/futurist. She is the author or co-author of more than a dozen nonfiction books on topics ranging from cultural shifts to current affairs to the youth market and the commercial workplace. Her latest work, co-authored with Ira Matathia and Ann O'Reilly, is The Future of Men. Ms. Salzman is an alumna of Brown University and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University.
