David Kiley is a senior correspondent in BusinessWeek's Detroit bureau, responsible for coverage of autos and marketing. Previously, he was the marketing editor for Businessweek, a post he held since July 2004. Prior to this, he was Detroit Bureau Chief for USA Today, covering the auto industry. Mr. Kiley has held editor and reporter posts at Adweek, Brandweek and CNN. He has also held executive titles at Interpublic Group agency Lowe & Partners.

Mr. Kiley is the author of two books: Getting The Bugs Out: The Rise, Fall and Comeback of Volkswagen in America and Driven: Inside BMW, The Most Admired Car Company in the World. He won the Ken Purdy Award for Excellence in Automotive Industry Journalism in 2001 for Getting The Bugs Out. He was elected the 2005-2006 President of the International Motor Press Association.

Mr Kiley is a graduate of Fordham University.
